Following the success of the first Parachallenge in 2008, the disability sports event returned on Sunday, 7th June 2009.
It took place at Dorcan Recreation Complex and gave adults and children the opportunity to try a whole host of sports including wheelchair basketball, tennis, swimming, frisbee golf and climbing, amongst others, and saw participants coming from as far afield as London, Cornwall and Nottingham.
Organised by Swindon Borough Council and sponsored by Nationwide, the event helped raise awareness of the facilities Swindon has to offer disabled people.
