Research Fees
Enquiries that take longer than 30 minutes to research will incur a fee. Charges apply even if no information is subsequently found. If an enquiry is going to take more than 30 minutes and so incur a charge, enquirers will be told of this before any research is carried out on their behalf.
30 minutes to one hour - £15.00
Thereafter £17.50 per hour (or part thereof)
Photographic Prints (Black and White or Colour)
Photographic prints are available to buy from our STEAM Picture Library website (www.steampicturelibrary.com)
Photocopies and Scans (A4)
Laser copy (glossy photographic paper) - £3.00
Laser copy (standard paper) - £1.00
Standard photocopy - £0.20
Scan (e-mailed) - £1.00
Scan (written to disk or CD) - £5.00
Orders for photographic prints and laser photocopies will be dispatched in stiff backed envelopes. Please add £2.00 to your order for post and packaging for addresses within the UK. Postage costs for addresses outside the UK will be advised upon request. Cheques should be made payable to 'Swindon Borough Council'. Payments must be made in advance.
All copying is subject to the copyright status of the original. Copies are supplied for personal and research purposes only. Copies are made from original negatives or prints, so signs of age may sometimes affect the quality of reproduction.
Reproduction Fees
Permission must be obtained in advance if material from STEAM’s collection is to be reproduced in any form. There will in most instances be a reproduction fee for this service. The reproduction fee does not include provision for copies of the material to be made. Those who use material unlawfully are liable to prosecution. Prices will be advised upon enquiry.
