Glorious - 50033
The following statement is an update of the current situation of the Class 50 diesel locomotive Glorious
STEAM loaned Glorious to RailSchool in June 2007 as part of a new railway training school project but unfortunately this did not materialise as RailSchool did not establish itself. Glorious therefore had to be moved temporarily and is currently in the care of Tyseley Locomotive Works. Recently it has been moved from the highground bank to the lower turntable for minor maintenance work.
Her nameplates were removed before she left us and remain at STEAM for safe keeping.
Glorious is in the ownership of STEAM and as such we are currently working hard to secure her long-term future.
