STEAM's 10th Birthday

12 and 13 June, 10.00am-5.00pm

Join the fun as STEAM celebrates the Museum's 10th Birthday!

The first ten visitors through the door on Saturday 12 June and Sunday 13 June will receive free entry to STEAM.

Special activities include:

• A free ride in a real horse-drawn wagon*
• The chance to climb aboard our famous locomotives
• A volunteer-run miniature railway

There are loads of hands-on activities for children, while the whole family will enjoy travelling through time as they discover the amazing history of the Great Western Railway.

There will also be a small number of funfair attractions at STEAM, including a ghost train!

Normal admission charges apply for STEAM, and funfair attractions are not included.

*Horse and wagon rides at STEAM are available on Saturday 12 June only.

GWR 175 Steam Gala at Swindon & Cricklade Railway

12 & 13 June and 19 & 20 June

The GWR 175 Steam Gala is a fun event for families and rail enthusiasts alike and gives you the chance to see and ride on some iconic steam locomotives, including the famous City of Truro.

The event also boasts vintage fairground rides, barbeque and cafe, plus a bar including Real Ale. Don't miss the new GWR 175 'Chuffin Ale' available at the Gala. See the Swindon and Cricklade Railway's website (www.swindon-cricklade-railway.org) for more details.

Joint Ticket for STEAM and Swindon & Cricklade's GWR 175 Steam Gala

Special Bus Link

A special GWR 175 bus service will connect STEAM and the Swindon and Cricklade Railway - allowing you to enjoy both events.

There is a small charge for the bus ride (please see Swindon & Cricklade Railway's website as below for details), or you can buy a joint ticket (details below) that includes return bus travel.

The bus will run approximately every hour and pick up will be at the turning circle at STEAM.
